James and his team were wonderful when I brought my 1982 Yamaha Seca xj650r in for service. This was a few years ago and I was thoroughly impressed with their work and friendly professional manner.
I’ve come here in a pinch to get tires swapped twice now. Owner and tech will be totally full and drowning in work, smile and tell me they’ll help get me out riding for the weekend. What a beaut. They always got atleast 30 bikes being worked on, always busy cuz they’re good at what they do.
I had an excellent experience with the Cycle Improvements crew; I’d been trying to get quotes from multiple shops for 2 weeks and couldn’t get straight answers on pricing, timeline, etc. Within an hour of reaching out for a quote I had pricing AND recommendations from James. Prompt service and excellent work, thank you again! For reference on job type, I had new tires put on my bike which I opted to purchase through the shop instead of supplying my own. I know there’s differing opinions on their position about that but end of the day, I’d rather give them my business than nickel and dime everything with other companies that barely even get back to me, if they do at all.
Shout out to James and Robert. Had some work performed on my 22' Voyager. Great service. Very communicative and helpful. The client portal is a great tool as well. They clearly take pride in their work. No hesitation in recommending them. Cheers guys.
Jim and staff helped me get my 65 Honda S90 ready for licensing with machine shop work and getting it safetied. They were very knowledgeable, competent and cost effective. I highly recommend Cycle Improvements. Part 2. After 1700km of great riding, the engine which I had rebuilt myself (Cycle Improvements did a rebore for me) started to show signs of giving up the ghost. I took the S90 to CI and they rebuilt the head, put a new piston and rings (OEM) in plus rebuilt the original carb for me (no more knockoffs). The work was to high quality, reasonable priced (they have to make a living). Jim kept me updated on the work. I haven't done many kilometres due to weather but she starts and runs great.
Totally destroyed the $800 paint on my 2 fenders, then refused to make it right. I can’t show pics here, but sent Jim pics of both fenders. Front fender was bent or twisted so bad, of course the paint will peel off. Any paint would peel off and back fender is a result of the two seat brackets scratching the paint. Scratches aren’t an adhesion problem it’s lack of respect and professionalism to make sure rough metal parts don’t come into contact with the paint job.
Just picked up my '77 CB 750 and couldn't be more pleased with the work done over the winter. Complete rebuild of the engine as well as a number of other items. The bike runs and looks amazing. Jim and his staff took the time to explain every step and source any needed parts. Their work is top quality and the cost more than reasonable. This shop's high level of integrity is well know and deserved. Awesome job guys - thanks!
