Decided to go here for brunch, mostly because of the reviews and because it's right across from the St Jacob's Farmers market. I most likely wouldn't return. The prices however are good for the portions, but both mine and my husband's food (eggs, etc) was on the colder side. We waited quite a while for our food to come to the table, so we didn't bother saying anything since we were quite hungry and didn't want to wait again. The service was mediocre. Large restaurant and not too long of a wait. Parking is scarce for how big the restaurant is.
The food was great and the portion were more then respectable. The staff was friendly too. Prices are reasonable. The menu also has lots of options. Definitely will be returning and highly recommend to others
I just finish having a huge long three days at home show in st. Jacobs. Then I wanted to take something home for supper and I notice there was a restaurant that says Family Home Cooking. I got there hot turkey dinner for me to bring home and I have already called the restaurant to say thank you it was amazing and nice to come home to a home cooked meal. The turkey was amazing with gravy and fresh crisp vegetables and homemade potatoes it was delicious. If anyone that I no that is in st. Jacobs go eat there nothing like a home cooked meal I loved it
We went here after visiting the markets. It was easy to find. We were seated quickly. Tanya was awesome. Attentive and quick. Checking regularly that everything was cool. The portions were large and the food good. Next time we are at the markets we will be dropping in again. The kids loved the milkshakes.
We had noticed this restaurant from our local hotel window last year and noticed it always seemed busy, we said we will try it next time we stay in the area. Well we did this week and were very pleasantly surprised.We did have to wait about 15 mins to be seated but it was worth it. They do know how to turn tables over fast. Very generous portions.We enjoyed the food and are going there for breakfast tomorrow.my best review we will return.
