The staff are always welcoming. The trainers are engaging and supportive. And the workout is never boring! The heart rate monitors and splat points keep me focused on my effort level. We'll done!
Actually a really good workout. They try to incorporate variety. The employees are super nice. It is cool to use the heart rate bands and to see them up on the screen and compare them to your friends if you go with others. Had some free trials from a wedding show. Unfortunately, they are pretty expensive. It is really nice to be able to use all of that equipment with others in an hour because places like GoodLife only target one thing in their classes, in the sense that for example their RPM course you're on a bike for the whole duration, but here they do mix it up. Worth a try and you have to figure out if it's an investment you want to make!
I live for this gym, I go twice a week and Im actually excited to go. I have never loved the gym, but OTF doesnt feel like a normal gym. You dont have annoying people slamming barbells or classes so full you cant breathe, its an experience and like a little family. The trainers are amazing, personable, motivating, and they make me want to perform my best. The price is a little high, my only downfall, but this gym is my FAVOURITE!! I recommend this place to everyone, if I believe its within their budget and lifestyle. I have been going for a little over a month now and am seeing some wonderful results, and feel so much stronger and healthier!
I have always HATED any kind of organized fitness however I find myself raving about Orange Theory, for me it is hands down the best way to get and stay fit, and on top of that I love going. The workout is different every day, which means better results and less boredom. It focuses on interval cardio training, which also leads to better results and less boredom. I like rowing machines!? I like the real time heart rate feedback. The combination of it being at specific booked times and more costly than a "typical gym membership" means I actually go, regularly. Going regularly means that at 60 years old, I am fitter now than I have ever been in my whole life! It has many aspects of using a personal trainer (i.e. a relationship with somebody(s) that know you well enough to provide personalized direction, support, and encouragement as required) at a fraction of the cost of a personal trainer.
I've always had a gym membership and worked out regularly. I joined Orangetheory Fitness with a plan to get my husband exercising. I'd only planned to stay long enough for him to develop a fitness habit (I didn't really need two memberships.) More than 2 1/2 years later we are both still there. The workouts are completely different (it's small group personal training) and change every day. I like the heart rate monitor feedback and workout report I get after every visit. The instructors are super. The fact that they keep my husband motivated means is fantastic.
