I have been coming to Crystal Nail Spa for over a year and have never been disappointed. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. I receive compliments on my nails all the time!
Last time I was getting nail fills by a girl named Quen(pronounced "One")I asked her while she was doing my nail fills, if she had time to do my pedicure. She said yes.While she's about to finish doing my nails, walks-in a woman who wants a pedicure done. The receptionist told that walk-in-woman to take a seat where the pedicures are done.Some 'native' language exchanges took place between "Quen" and the receptionist and then she tells me, that she doesn't have time to do my pedicure, BECAUSE they are so busy ! She then tells me, that if I want a pedicure, I should make an appointment.That woman who was a 'walk-in-customer' did not have an appointment.But they were afraid to refuse her, but she told ME, to make an appointment for my pedicure.HOW RUDE IS THAT ! I am never going back to that place ever again.
If I could give less than a star I would. 2 HOUR fill, they hacked off my beautiful naturally long nails that I was growing... The fill was so thick they looked like someone glued jelly beans to my nails. AND CHARGED FULL PRICE.
Update since 1 year ago:Thanks to crystals nail salon in Waterloo I still have infected toenails. Originally it was 4 on the same foot, but the last toenail on the same foot has also become infected. I cant even begin to explain how horrendous this has been. It affects my life every day. I have spent thousands of dollars on treatments, topical solutions, herbal solutions. Nothing works. The only option left is to take a pill to try and get rid of it. If you know anything about this medication it can severely damage your liver. I am at a loss of what to do. It has been 4 years. It started in August 2014. So it seems I am plagued with disgusting looking toenails on one foot for the rest of my life. Thanks crystals you did a wonderful job of destroying my nails, every time I wear open toed shoes I cringe at what people are thinking. Shame on your for being neglectful in keeping your shopSanitary. If anyone has any sense they will not visit this shop. If you have notHad a bad experience yet....just wait it will happen. Original post: 2017If I could give this a zero star I would. I had healthy toenails up until 3 years ago when I had a pedicure done at crystals. I now have severe fungalInfections on 4 toenails. I had 1 toenail removed but it still came back. I've tried laser, PACT, and every type of remedy or cure out there and nothing has worked. It will be 3 years this august that the infections started. I spend minimum 30 minutes each day filing and removing infected nail. I can't count the number of times I've had to pull whole pieces of my nails off! I'm embarrassed to wear sandals and can't wear nail polish anymore. Prior to the apt 3 years ago I found out crystals had a visit From the health inspector which said two of the basins were unsanitary. They did nothing about it. I have spent thousands of dollars on treatments and still I have 4 very infected toenails. Do yourself a favour and stay away from this company. They should be put out of business. I don't know if I will ever get rid of this...it had already been 3 years. Thanks for ruining the health of my feet and nails, not to mention how emotionally draining it is having to deal with this on an ongoing basis becauseOf your negligence!!!
My first time there and my nails looks beautiful. The lady spoke English and was friendly and did such a thorough job. Next time I'll go for a pedicure. The place has such a relaxed atmosphere. Definitely going back !
