Room was decent and good size. Washroom was clean but could be a bit better. Room had a mini fridge and microwave which was great. Also had a safe in the room. Hotel has a pool and sauna but i didnt use either. Breakfast was free and has hot and cold options. The first day the hash browns were so dry and old like they had been cooked a few days prior and reheated everyday. It was pretty gross, but the next day was a fresh batch and the rest of the food was fine. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall a good place to stay
Good location right across from Conestoga Mall and off the highway - nice and close for visiting St Jacob's. The rooms were clean and bigger than expected - didn't realize our room had a seating area with a couch, and a kitchenette including mini fridge and microwave. The sheets felt clean, and bathrooms were new. There is a restaurant on the first floor (as well as a quick-grab shop) that we visited only for the included breakfast. Good size buffet, with eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, breads, oatmeal, yogurt, tea, coffee, etc. Also a pool and hot tub in the basement which were much appreciated!
We were pleasantly surprised by the service and rooms. We had to leave early due to a family emergency and they waived the full rate for the day despite us leaving two hours after checkout. Although they were busy with a girls lacrosse tournament going on, the rooms were quiet. The free breakfast was just ok but it's a welcome throw in. Overall we were happy to pay a bit extra for the nice clean rooms, great staff and location.
So this rating is not a reflection of the staff or customer service in any way because they were kind and seemed to be doing their best considering. The room was clean however I was using the pull out bed and there was no sheets and one very pathetic(clean) blanket that had cuts and holes in it and a bandaid. I ended up having to ask for another actual blanket to be warm.We made the manager aware of several things that were in disrepair or not working. They seemed to be aware of it however exasperated by the issues as if they've had to deal with it before. If you have to go somewhere then yes this place is clean, breakfast is good, customer service friendly but be aware that not everything will be fully functional (pool, whirlpool, ice machines...)
This hotel was a hot mess. It is dated, run down, not clean. We were in town for a wedding and we had to change rooms 3x yo get one with working AC on a super hot weekend. We weren't the only ones -several others in town for the wedding faced the same problem. The bathroom left a lot to be desired for cleanliness. Not to mention every room we got had a deep stink of old cigarette smoke - so it probably hasn't been renovated since going "smoke free". I didn't pick this hotel and I would never stay there again.
