Friendly and helpful staff. The room was spacious, clean had a fridge, fireplace and small television. Its a nice old century building with a great old Victorian feel. I have to say that I was disappointed with the fact that the hotel was not accessible! Even to get in the front door I needed help with my strollerstaff was amazing and super helpful, though. Keep in mind theres no elevator either so if you have lots of bags or luggage its a long way to the 3rd floor. Theres parking in the back but it didnt seem like many spaces.
Messed up our reservation when we went and we only had one bed the second day for two people instead of the two we ordered. Only gave us $15 back for the inconvenience.
This is a historic building where the hotel has existed since 1890...It was renovated a few years ago and now has about 15 rooms over 3 floors.Being an old building there is no elevator so one has to carry the bags up the stairs yourself and that can be a task.Room is neat with some of the antique furniture and quite comfortable.The bathroom is quite modern and provides for everything one needs for a modern living.Great hotel to be in while in Waterloo.
Not really much of a hotel. No designated area to unload. Nor for parking. No elevator. When we stayed this August, air conditioning was down. To compensate for it - no warm water to shower in the morning. The included breakfast is a 8 CAD voucher for some cafes in the area. Management does not see any reason to offer any discount or compensation. Hard to find a hotel that wouldnt be better for tourists. With one exception, the location in the historical downtown.
Great, clean. Not a lot of amenities but it's beautiful and the point is that it's so historic. Very friendly staff, huge rooms, comfortable bed. Beautiful architecture and a real piece of Waterloo history
